France, Portugal & Spain Pilgrimage

Thirteen days across three countries and four of the great pilgrim shrines of western Europe — Lourdes, Santiago, Ávila and Fátima.
It begins with two nights at Lourdes and the Grotto of Massabielle, crosses the Pyrenees to the Sanctuary of Loyola and on to Burgos, and reaches Santiago de Compostela for the Pilgrim's Mass at the tomb of St James. Then south to the walled city of Ávila for St Teresa, three nights at Fátima with the Rosary and candlelight procession each evening, and the Eucharistic Miracle at Santarém before closing in Lisbon.

Day by Day

Day 01
USA TO FRANCE
Depart from the USA on your overnight flight to France.

Day 02
LOURDES
Arrive in Lourdes. Welcome Mass, orientation, dinner and introduction to the Sanctuary.

Day 03
LOURDES
Visit the Grotto of Massabielle, Basilicas, St. Bernadette sites and the baths. Evening Candlelight Rosary Procession.

Day 04
LOURDES / LOYOLA / BURGOS
Cross the Pyrenees into Spain. Visit the Sanctuary of Loyola, birthplace of St. Ignatius. Continue to Burgos for dinner and overnight.

Day 05
BURGOS / SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Visit Burgos Cathedral, then journey through northern Spain to Santiago de Compostela.

Day 06
SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Pilgrim's Mass at the Cathedral and visit the tomb of St. James the Apostle. Time for prayer and to explore the historic old city.

Day 07
SANTIAGO / ÁVILA
Travel to the magnificent walled city of Ávila, home of St. Teresa of Jesus.

ÁVILA / FÁTIMA
Morning visit to the sites of St. Teresa. Continue to Fátima. Evening Rosary and Candlelight Procession.

Day 09
FÁTIMA
Visit the Chapel of the Apparitions, Basilicas, tombs of Saints Francisco and Jacinta, and the Basilica of the Holy Trinity. Time for prayer.

Day 10
FÁTIMA & ALJUSTREL
Visit the homes of the shepherd children, Valinhos, and the Stations of the Cross. Evening Rosary and Candlelight Procession.

Day 11
SANTARÉM / LISBON
Visit the Church of the Eucharistic Miracle in Santarém. Continue to Lisbon for dinner and overnight.

Day 12
LISBON
City tour of Lisbon including Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries. Farewell dinner.

Day 13
LISBON TO USA
Transfer to the airport for your return flight back to the USA.
